Adriane Lee is originally from southern California and studied dance at UC Berkeley. Lee started Rosario in 2006 and was a 2008-2009 DTW Fresh Tracks Resident Artist and a Chen Dance Center newsteps Choreographers’ Series Artist (2012). Her work has been shown at Dance Place (Washington DC), ODC (San Francisco), Joyce SoHo, Dixon Place, Movement Research at Judson Church, Chen Dance Center, Center for Performance Research (through Chez Bushwick Presents), and Dance Theater Workshop. She is currently a LEIMAY-CAVE Black Studio Resident (2012-2013). Her work has been described as “spunky” (Gia Kourlas, New York Times) and “intriguingly fresh” (Sarah Kaufman, Washington Post). In 2013, she will share two new works at Dixon Place and Green Space Blooms.
